We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. At Consilience, you will have a unique opportunity to shape and drive our data analysis platform towards its initial commercial launch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, with a proven track record of creating scalable, efficient data platforms, and a passion for building user-friendly applications. Reporting to the CEO, this role is an opportunity to play a technical leadership role on a small, ambitious team, and to make critical contributions in developing and maintaining our novel omics data analysis platform. Previous experience with computational biology and bioinformatics workflows is a strong plus, but not required. Your work will directly contribute to advancing our understanding of biological systems and driving innovation in the biotech industry.
Responsibilities:
- Understand our prototype in detail and lead the engineering strategy to get to the launch of our commercial platform.
- Lead the end-to-end engineering execution across infrastructure, data engineering, product engineering, MLOps, web development, and security.
- Implement and orchestrate algorithms and models from an already developed prototype, working closely with data scientists.
- Architect and manage a scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based infrastructure to support our data analysis platform.
- Write clean, efficient, versioned, and well-documented code. Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and biologists, to define, design, and ship new features, while ensuring engineering supports the company’s strategic objectives and timelines.
- Develop and integrate data visualization tools to present complex omics data intuitively.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Define and implement security and disaster recovery policies.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in omics data analysis.
